Mom’s pride and joy crowned as first princess in Miss Sophistication pageant
She was crowned first princess for her talent in modelling and an enspiring speech about which career path she would like to follow.
Kendra Ramsammy, a Grade 4 learner from Shalimar Ridge Primary School, participated in the Aglow Astral Events’ Miss Sophistication competition on March 30 at Heidelberg Town Hall.
She was crowned first princess for her talent in modelling and an enspiring speech about which career path she would like to follow. The judges asked a series of questions that required detailed answers. This was Kendra’s second year participating in the Miss Sophistication competition.
“I am a very proud mother. Not only is Kendra obedient, she is a focused, balanced young lady,” Kendra’s mother Chantal said.
Aglow Astral Events is a non-profit organisation. They aim in improving the inner and outer beauty of young girls. The girls are given a series of tasks during a period of a year that they need to complete that include fundraising and setting and reaching academic goals. They also observe the contestants’ behaviour at home (whether they are obedient and doing their chores) by consulting with their parents.
