A woman was lucky to escape with no serious injuries after a bakkie slammed into her vehicle at the Groenfontein Road traffic light (close to Heidelberg Mall) this morning at 10:20.
The victim explained that she came from Heidelberg Mall’s side and wanted to turn right at the intersection.
She was waiting for the vehicle from the opposite side to pass, but the driver took a while to go.
According to the lady, a man in a white bakkie skipped the red light and crashed into her vehicle.
The driver of the bakkie drove away, but another driver who saw the whole incident chased after him. More people came to assist and managed to corner the suspect at the train bridge on the Groenfontein Road.
