Chairman of Heidelberg District Taxi Association murdered
The suspects came back to the accident scene and more shots were fired.
The chairman of the Heidelberg District Taxi Association was gunned down and the deputy secretary wounded after being shot yesterday afternoon in Ratanda’s Extension 7.
The two were on their way home between 16:00 and 17:00 on July 30 when a White Toyota Corolla overtook them and started shooting. The 40-year-old chairman was wounded and lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree in the process.
The suspects came back to the accident scene and more shots were fired. The chairman died later in hospital. The deputy secretary is currently still being treated in hospital.
