Local environmentalists awarded
Stan Madden and Justin Donaldson from the Springs/Nigel branch of Wildlife and Environment of SA (WESSA) were recognised for their exceptional efforts and contribution in caring for the earth, during the organisation’s 93rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) that took place on September 14 in Muldersdrifft.
During the AGM, WESSA also paid tribute to a wide range of outstanding environmental achievements with the presentation of the organisation’s National Annual Awards.
WESSA (the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa) is a South African environmental organisation which aims to initiate and support high impact environmental and conservation projects to promote participation in caring for the Earth. For over 90 years we have proactively engaged with the challenges and opportunities presented by our country’s unique natural heritage and the social and economic systems that depend on it.
