EFF supporters take to Heidelberg Mall in peaceful protest

A group of Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) supporters gathered in front of Clicks in Heidelberg Mall earlier today (September 7) in a peaceful protest.

https://youtu.be/_hbI_avjwWE This follows after a controversial hair advertisement was posted on the health and beauty retailer’s website on September 5. Social media went into a frenzy, claiming that the retailer was racist as the advert described black hair as damaged and dry and white hair as normal. Clicks has since issued an apology and removed the offending images from social media.

“We are all human beings and we are fighting against racism,” one of the EFF members told HERAUT.

“We believe that there should be equal opportunities for all, irrespective of race. Our members will this week be visiting all Clicks stores nationwide,” another member concluded.
