Glamor and glitz at Heidelberg Hospital awards evening
HEIDELBERG – It was all glitz and glamour at Heidelberg Town Hall as Heidelberg Hospital staff members were honoured with awards and certificates.
The prestigious service excellence awards with a black, red and a touch of the white theme were held on November 26.
“This prestigious event was part of honouring staff members for their dedication towards their work through out the year, even in the midst of the pandemic,” Lebo Khumalo, acting CEO, said.
“Hospital staff members truly maintained the spirit of selflessness. Everyone and every department is a winner at the hospital, despite getting nominated or not.”
The following awards were handed out:
Category 1: Dr Siyabonga Zondi was awarded as best doctor.
Category 2: Zodwa Kubheka was awarded as best nursing personnel.
Category 3: Khensani Mathebula was awarded as best allied staff.
Category 4: Nontobeko Nkonyane was awarded for best performing programme.
Category 5: Busisiwe Mirha was awarded as best administration clerk.
Category 6: Nompumelelo Tsotetsi was awarded as best support staff.
Category 7: Louise van der Linde and Matron Lindiwe Dhlamini were awarded as best managers.
Category 8: Human Resource was awarded as best department.
Category 9: Finance received an award for being the most participating department.
Category 10: Laundry Department was awarded for best interns.
Category 11: Sr Nombuso Tshabalala, Patric Moloto and Sr Mandisa Adoons were the joint winners of the special recognition award.
Category 12: Sr Nontobeko Nkonyane won the employee of the year award.
