Joan celebrates her 97th birthday
Joan McCartney celebrated her 97th birthday on November 26.
She has been a resident of Hospicare Frail Care Centre in Heidelberg for the past two years.
She celebrated this special occasion with Riversands’ residents at their Christmas function on November 25, and Greg Wheeler escorted her for the evening.
Joan is the proud mother of two sons, has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
As an ex-Rhodesian, Joan has seen lots of action in her life and is elated to have been spared another year.
“I’m so privileged to be surrounded by so many people to make my day even more memorable,” Joan said.
