Young martial artists from Alrapark impressed judges at a provincial belt test in Sunrise, Boksburg, showcasing discipline, determination and months of dedicated training.

Young martial artists from Alra Park proved that dedication and discipline lead to success when they delivered an impressive performance at a provincial belt test held in Boksburg on February 28.

Students from the Alrapark Enshin karate dojo travelled to Sunrise to take part in the official grading, where they were assessed on their techniques, kata, stamina, and overall understanding of karate.

The learners rose to the occasion, demonstrating confidence, focus and determination throughout the evaluation process.

According to dojo instructor Shihan Visser, the learners showed exceptional commitment in the weeks leading up to the test.

“I am incredibly proud of each and every student who stepped onto the floor for this grading. They have been training consistently, pushing through tough sessions and supporting one another as a team. What we saw was the result of hard work, perseverance and a willingness to improve every single day,” he said.

Visser also added that beyond the physical techniques, the students demonstrated the core values of karate.

“They showed respect, discipline and strong character, which are just as important as punches and kicks. Watching them perform with confidence and composure made me very proud as their instructor. They truly represented Alrapark with honour,” he said.
