Male netball players from Lesedi, Emfuleni and Midvaal invited to Sedibeng regional trials

Sedibeng Netball has called on aspiring and experienced male players to attend the upcoming regional trials on May 31 as the organisation aims to strengthen men’s netball and identify talent for provincial and national competitions.

Male netball players from across the Sedibeng region are urged to showcase their talent at the upcoming Sedibeng Netball Male Trials, scheduled for May 31.

The trials, which will cater for both U23 and senior male players, will take place at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Ground from 08:30. The initiative will accommodate players from the Lesedi, Emfuleni and Midvaal areas.

Secretary of Lesedi Netball, Shiela Mazibuko, said the trials are an important step towards developing and strengthening men’s netball within the Sedibeng region.

“We want to encourage all passionate male netball players from Lesedi, Emfuleni and Midvaal to come forward and participate in the trials. Men’s netball continues to grow rapidly, and this is an opportunity for players to showcase their talent and compete at a higher level.

“Discipline, teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship will play a major role during the selection process. We are looking for dedicated players who are ready to work hard and represent the region professionally,” she said.

Players wishing to participate in the trials must be registered with both Sedibeng Netball and Netball South Africa. Participants are encouraged to arrive early, dressed in appropriate sports attire, and prepared to take part in fitness assessments and match situations throughout the day.

Interested players may contact 074 305 3349 for more information regarding the trials.
