Church destroyed in storm
The storm caused thousands of rands’ damage were caused by the storm which caught everyone by surprise.
eMZINONI – The First Church Congregation was destroyed on Monday 7 October when a storm hit Bethal, eMzinoni, Secunda and surrounding towns.
Bishop Piet Mnqushu’s son explained how they were shocked and saddened when they saw the path of destruction.
“We will have to rebuild the church fro
m scratch which will take some time.
“We call on people and members of the church to support us in order for it to be re-established.”
Several other houses, businesses and schools were affected when the storm broke out.
According to residents of eMzinoni, the Afghan section was hit the worst.
Driving through eMzinoni people are seen repairing their hom
es on almost every corner.
