LCC equips male youths
Leandra Community Center Youth Desk has initiated a programme to develop male youths.
LEANDRA – The Leandra Community Centre (LCC) Youth Desk has launched a programme which will rehabilitate and council male youths.
This initiative is aimed at nurturing and developing the talents and skills of the youth of whom the majority are non scholars between the ages of 16 to 21.
Mr Motlatsi Tsibela, LCC Youth Desk coordinator, said: “We want to help the youth as a whole, but for now we saw a need to begin with the male youths.
“So many male youths are on the streets of Lebohang and we want to help them find a purpose and vision in life.
“Those who do not attend school, will receive counselling and couching and skills and talent development with the key focus of getting them back to school.
“We want to bridge the gap between the male non scholars and scholar, providing a centre where they can be reconciled to promote peer education and motivation.”
