Farmer injured in attack
The attackers managed to gain possession of a shotgun during the assault and fled the scene in a bakkie.
A farmer sustained severe cuts and bruises when he was attacked on his farm in the Davel/Estancia area on Sunday.
According to first reports Mr Pieter Prinsloo of the farm Nooitgedacht was beaten up by three unknown attackers after he confronted them for being on the farm without permission.
The attackers managed to gain possession of a shotgun and fled the scene in a bakkie. They were apprehended shortly afterwards by neighbours and farmers after the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.
The three were due to appear in court on Monday on charges of theft and assault.
