The Department of Education in the Gert Sibande District hosted a sports, culture and music awards ceremony at the Mayor’s Parlour in Gert Sibande District Municipality on Friday, 19 October.
The purpose of the awards was to award coordinators, mentors and schools who have excelled in sports, culture and music.
These leaders and schools represented Gert Sibande District in different categories and emerged winners.
Here is Ms Lindiwe Sibaya (CES: Inclusive Education and Curriculum Enrichment in the Gert Sibande Education District) and Ms Yesmeen Mahomed (Circuit Manager of Stanwest) hand over an award to Mr Sakkie Sibiya (New Ermelo Primary School: teacher and coordinator of sports) at the region’s Department of Education sport and culture awards ceremony.
