Three people died and two were seriously injured in an accident involving three trucks on the N17 road, between Chrissiesmeer and Warburton.
According to Const Patience Ngozo, spokesman for Chrissiesmeer Police, the accident occurred on 21 June at 5.20am.
Several emergency personnel as well as other role players, were on the scene.
The accident scene has been cleared and the road is open to motorists.
It is not yet clear at this stage what the cause of the accident was.
According to Ms Jolene Aita, Jackson Transport’s risk manager, the independent company will complete their investigation before any comments will follow.
