Mr Mandla Zwane commented on no running water in Ext 7, Wesselton on 23 September.
The Highvelder published an article, “Forced to drink filthy water” on 19 July.
The article was based on residents of Ext 7 not receiving running water in their RDP’s for two years.
Msukaligwa Municipality have been supplying water by sending water trucks once a week to fill up Jojo tanks.
Residents complained that the water does not last them long enough due to the number of community members in the area.
Mr Zwane said, “The municipality has since escalated the matter to the Mpumalanga Department of Human Settlement.
