Well-known and loved resident Pam Pullinger dies

As her faith was the most important part of her life, she was an active member of the Ermelo Methodist Church community.

ERMELO – Ms Pam Pullinger (74), a well-known and loved resident, died on January 22 after complications during a surgery.

She first taught at the Ermelo Convent and later at Ermelo Primary School, where she spent most of her teaching career. She was also the school librarian for many years.

“She was truly loved by all whose paths crossed hers as she opened her kind heart to everyone,” her son, Mr Drew Pullinger, said.

After she retired, Ms Pullinger assisted at numerous schools on a part-time basis.

Her home was always open for learners, exchange students and travellers, who all left it feeling like part of her family.

As her faith was the most important part of her life, she was an active member of the Ermelo Methodist Church community.

She leaves behind her husband, two children, Mr Drew Pullinger and Ms Ann Simmons, her grandchildren, a brother and sister.

Ms Pullinger’s funeral was on February 1 at the Ermelo Methodist Church.
