Doctor Collis leaves practice temporarily to work overseas

ERMELO – Dr Natalie Collis of Dr Swart and Partners (Ermelo Medical Centre) will temporarily leave the practice to work overseas.

Dr Collis garnered the love and respect of the Ermelo community when she and Ms Elsjè van der Schyff, a physiotherapist of Winckler & Steyn Physiotherapists, and Ms Anel Schoeman of Anel Schoeman Physiotherapy, had the spontaneous idea to set up an outpatient clinic to assist Covid-19 patients.

Drs Du Buisson, Kramer, Swart, Bouwer (Ampath) had moved to Mediclinic Ermelo, and the open space underwent a metamorphosis and almost overnight, was turned into a Covid-19 clinic.

The clinic specialised in Covid-19 follow-up treatments as well as chest physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

While Dr Collis will be working on a cruise ship (Carnival Cruise Line) for four months at a time, she plans to return to Ermelo.

She indicated that she will inform her patients when she is in town and available for consultations.

“I wish everyone the very best while I am away,” she said.
