Bail denied for Valencia Skhosana, accused in Ermelo police officer’s murder

Her bail was denied by magistrate Catherine Hugo earlier today, March 20.

ERMELO –  Valencia Skhosana (35) was denied bail by the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on March 20.

She along with nine other suspects are accused of the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Piet Pretorius, commander of the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit.

Skhosana set forth her bail application on February 18, while Mthobisi Nkosi, Aubrey Xaba, Skhumbuzo Skhakhane, and Nyiko Mujovo have abandoned their bail applications and will remain in custody until their trial or further legal proceedings on April 10.

After now having been denied bail, she will appear in court on April 10 alongside the abovementioned co-accused.
