A woman was injured in De Bruin Street, moments ago. Emergency responders, are currently on the scene.

ERMELO – A woman was struck by a vehicle moments ago in De Bruin Street in an alleged hit-and-run incident.

Voice notes sent on an emergency WhatsApp group indicate that the driver fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Highvelder could not yet confirm this.

Acsu Security Services and N17 Emergency Response are currently on site attending to the victim.

Provincial ambulance services have also been dispatched to provide medical assistance.

The condition of the woman and the identity of the driver remain unknown.
