Two men were arrested after police uncovered carcasses, ammunition, and a firearm during a Badplaas patrol operation.
Two men, aged 38 and 43, were arrested in Badplaas during the early hours of April 22 following a police patrol and security tip-off about alleged illegal hunting.
Officers discovered the suspects at the scene and questioned them after observing bloodstains on their clothing.

A licensed firearm with ammunition and a magazine was found in their possession.
Two carcasses were recovered, one from a wild animal and another from a cow, both slaughtered.

Police also seized four spent cartridges, 11 live rounds of rifle ammunition, a bakkie, three cellphones, an axe, and two large knives.
The suspects claimed the phones belonged to a third person who allegedly fled before police arrived.
Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects are expected to appear in Emanzana Periodical Court today.
