Organisation wants to restore hope in Ermelo
By holding seminars and addressing the root causes of drug addiction, the movement seeks to restore lost hope.

ERMELO – Izimbali is the place to be on Saturday March 18 if you have been dealt a poor hand in life or have hit rock bottom as a result of circumstances and feel like there is no way out.
Sipho Lawrence Motaung and Teboho Maduna, the founders of the My Story – Ibali Lam Movement, have invited the community to a seminar with the goal of restoring hope to such people.
By holding seminars and addressing the root causes of drug addiction, the movement seeks to restore lost hope.
Balfour became the first location where the meetings were introduced in 2020, followed by Standerton in December 2021 and Evander in October last year.
The founders’ goal is to travel the country to try and instil hope in people and touch their hearts.
“Through inviting HODs, corporate leaders, councillors, and other well-known speakers to our seminars to share their triumphant journeys, we wish to show people that giving up is not an option,” Motaung said.
They identified and invited about 60 drug addicts who will attend the event in an effort of restoring their hope.
Tickets are sold at R250 which includes dinner.
The speakers are:
• Mogametsi Pale: GS College lecturer
• Mavivi Motlalane: Standerton Hospital admin
• Vuyiswa Madini: Ermelo councillor
• Masabata Bodibe: GS College senior finance officer
• Moipone Ngwenya: founder of Le Joy Women Empowerment
• Blessing Sibande: founder of Ubaba Nomtwana Movement
