Two vehicles involved in accident in Ermelo

One patient was removed from her vehicle, placed on a stretcher, transported by ambulance, and admitted to the hospital.

An accident involving two vehicles occurred in Ermelo this morning, June 4.

Ermelo residents should exercise caution at the intersection of Kerk and Voortrekker Street.

The cause of the accident is unknown.

The provincial ambulance services, Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services, traffic department, local SAPS, ETS Towing Services, and Van Wettens Towing Services were all on the scene.

People took to social media to lament municipal load reductions, but, others were quick to point out that regardless of outages, if a traffic light is out of order, people should know that the intersection becomes a four-way stop.

At this point, it is unclear what the extent of her injuries is.

Traffic in the area is congested as both cars partially obstruct two lanes.
