Woman and 4 men arrested in connection with murder of Ermelo business owner
The 34-year-old owner was found with a gunshot wound in the storage area, and an ER24 paramedic declared him dead.
Four suspects stormed into HDS Ermelo Cut & Edge at around 15:00 on November 20 and shot the owner shortly afterwards.
According to Capt. Carla Prinsloo, spokesperson for the Ermelo police, the suspects pointed a weapon at the staff and customers and ordered them to lie on the floor.
They searched them for their cell phones and personal belongings and also took money from the cash register.
“The suspects asked where the owner was and moved toward a storage area at the back of the business, after which the staff heard a gunshot,” said Prinsloo.
Shortly afterward, the suspects fled on foot.
