UPDATE: Bus in Dr Nichol Street, Ermelo also on fire

The Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services were promptly dispatched to the scene.

Theo Craven of the South African Community Crime Watch Group also informed Highvelder of another incident involving a bus that caught fire in Dr Nichol Street.

According to Craven, the cause of the fire is unknown, but apparently, the bus is stationary in a yard.

Corsa bakkie catches fire in West Street

An incident unfolded in West Street, Ermelo, when a Corsa bakkie caught fire.

A video sent in by a reader shows the vehicle engulfed in flames, with the driver making desperate attempts to extinguish the fire.

The woman who sent Highvelder the video, also made calls to the relevant authorities to report the fire.

According to the reader, the Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services were promptly dispatched to the scene.

The South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) group was also alerted about the incident.

The cause of the fire is unknown, no injuries were reported at the time of publication.
