VIDEO – Five suspects to appear in Ermelo court for police officer’s murder
A vehicle suspected to have been involved in the commission of a crime was discovered burned near Extension 7 in Ermelo on January 17.

ERMELO – Five suspects were arrested on January 16 in connection with the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Piet Pretorius, and are expected to appear in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court soon according to police.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, provincial police spokesperson, the suspects are aged between 29 and 40.
A multi-disciplinary team established by the Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Dr. Zeph Mkhwanazi, consisting of HAWKS, detectives, intelligence members, and a security company, managed to track and trace the suspects in Nelspruit, where they were arrested.

A vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of crime has also been found torched next to Ext 7 in Ermelo on January 17.
