VIDEO – Three PR councillors sworn in at Ermelo Magistrate’s Court

They committed to faithfully executing their duties as proportional councillors for the Msukaligwa Local Municipality to the best of their abilities.

ERMELO – Hannah Peachey, Anika Ferreira and Amor van der Walt were sworn in as proportional representative (PR) councillors for the DA in the Msukaligwa Local Municipality on February 19.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court, where the new PR councillors took their oaths administered by Magistrate Catherine Hugo.
Peachey, Ferreira and Van der Walt proudly embraced their new roles as representatives of the DA.

Through the system of proportional representation, they are committed to ensuring that the views and interests of Ermelo’s residents are heard and considered in the municipal council.

During the ceremony, each councillor took an oath to be faithful to the Republic of South Africa, uphold the constitution and all laws of the country, and carry out their duties and responsibilities as proportional councillors for the Msukaligwa Local Municipality to the best of their ability.
