Accident in Ermelo causes traffic disruption

This intersection has been the site of numerous accidents in the past, often attributed to drivers running the red light.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision earlier today, 6 March, at the Voortrekker and Kerk Street intersection, causing traffic congestion in the area.

Emergency responders relieved traffic flow once the vehicles were moved from the intersection.

Provincial ambulance services were also dispatched to the scene, where they treated and transferred one patient with minor injuries to Mediclinic Ermelo.

This intersection has been the site of numerous accidents in the past, often attributed to drivers running red lights or the disruptions caused during power outages.

It is unclear at this stage whether that was in fact the case.
