Water wasted as leak persists near Ermelo Combined School

ERMELO – Frustration is mounting in Cassim Park as residents witness clean drinking water gushing down Bangalia Street for almost three weeks due to a persistent leak near Ermelo Combined School .

Adding to their worries, an open manhole filled with water just metres away, poses a safety risk to the children walking along the pavement.

“This poses a significant safety risk, particularly to the numerous children who walk there on their way to and from Ermelo Combined School,” one of the residents told the newspaper.

They fear that a child could easily stumble or fall into the obscured opening, potentially leading to serious injury.
