Farmworker injured after being pulled into combine harvester on R35 near Morgenzon. Airlifted to Alberton Hospital.

MORGENZON – A 26-year-old female farmworker was seriously injured earlier today after being pulled into the blades of a combine harvester along the R35 between Morgenzon and Amersfoort.

According to ER24 paramedic Adeel Vorajee, emergency services responded to the scene where the woman was stabilised and then extricated from the machinery.

A helicopter from Rocket Air Ambulance Services was activated and landed on-site.

The patient was subsequently flown to Alberton Hospital for further treatment.
