Ermelo Summerfield’s go-kart day a roaring success
The event was filled with fun and friendly competition, and all the top performers were rewarded for their efforts.
Summerfield Primary School’s Go-Kart Day fundraiser was a great success, with pupils, parents and teachers coming together on August 26 to raise funds for the school.
The event was filled with fun and friendly competition, and all the top performers were rewarded for their efforts.
The Grade 2 and Grade 5 classes and their teachers were celebrated for raising the most funds.
As a reward, the learners enjoyed an ice-cream treat and were given a special day off from school.
Learners who sold the most tickets were also recognised and each received a pizza and a R200
PNA voucher:
• Abdus Salam (Grade R)
• Mohammad Salam (Grade 3)
• Lesedi Motlhabi (Grade 4)
Ethan Pakkari, a Grade 7 learner and the school’s overall top seller, was awarded a R500 Hennie’s voucher and a pizza.
In the lucky draw, Lwandle Sithole, Mihle Mohlala and Moaketsi Modiselle each won a soccer ball.
All learners who submitted their donation forms received a chocolate as a thank-you.
The winners of the day were the Blue Team, who celebrated their victory with a pizza party.
The school extended a special thank you to teachers Wilma Geldenhuys and Manda Labuschagne for going above and beyond to ensure the day’s success, and also expressed its gratitude to the sponsors who helped make the event possible.
