Taxi operators across Mpumalanga receive licences at their doorsteps

As part of Transport Month, the department is improving service delivery by taking taxi operating licences straight to operators.

The Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport is rolling out an initiative to deliver taxi operating licences directly to associations across the province.

The drive forms part of the October Transport Month Programme and aims to make services more accessible while strengthening compliance with the National Land Transport Act.

MEC Thulasizwe Thomo said the effort reflects the department’s commitment to efficient service delivery and trust-building within the transport sector.

The campaign will continue across all districts until Thursday, ensuring that all qualifying operators receive their documents on time.
