ERMELO – The Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) is mourning the passing of councillor Mthunzi Roderick Yende, who died on November 22.

Yende, a proportional representative (PR) councillor seconded from the Msukaligwa Local Municipality, had served on the district council since 2021.

Speaker of council Busisiwe Sekhonde extended condolences to Yende’s family, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and colleagues.
