ERMELO – The nominations for the Highvelder’s Best of Ermelo, Readers’ Choice Awards have officially closed, and the response has been impressive.

Hundreds of businesses and individuals from Ermelo and surrounding areas submitted entries, showcasing the talent, service, and community spirit that make the region shine.

Nominees will be notified

All nominees will be notified by Highvelder. These notices are purely informational, ensuring each nominee knows they are in the running and explaining what will happen in the next stage of the process.

The voting supplement

Highvelder will publish all qualifying nominees in a special “Vote For Me” supplement in print and online on April 17. This publication will give the public an overview of all candidates across categories and is the official launch point for the voting process.

Voting opens online

Once the supplement is published, readers can visit the Highvelder website’s “Best Of” section to cast votes for their favourite nominees. Online voting will run from April 17 to May 18, giving the community plenty of time to make their voices heard and ensure their favourite businesses and individuals are recognised.

Voting closes and auditing begins

After the voting period ends, an independent audit will ensure all votes are counted accurately and fairly. This step maintains the integrity of the awards and guarantees winners truly reflect the community’s voice.

Winners announced

Invitations to the exclusive Highvelder awards winners’ function will be sent to all qualifying nominees.

The event celebrates top achievers across multiple categories, recognising excellence in business, service and community contribution.

A “Winners” supplement, in both print and digital formats, will follow the awards ceremony, highlighting recipients and their achievements.
