Planned power outage to affect large parts of Ermelo on Sunday
Residents in several Ermelo areas will experience a planned 14-hour electricity interruption on Sunday while Eskom conducts maintenance.

ERMELO – Residents in several parts of Ermelo will experience a planned electricity interruption on March 8, as Eskom undertakes maintenance work and connects a newly constructed power line.
According to a notice issued by Msukaligwa Local Municipality, the planned outage will last approximately 14 hours, starting at 06:00 and ending at 20:00.
The interruption forms part of maintenance at an Eskom substation and includes the final connection, testing and energising of a newly constructed 11kV overhead medium-voltage line serving the New Ermelo Nyibe area.
The following areas supplied under the 11kV substation will be affected by the interruption:
• Ermelo East and West
• Industrial Area
• Portions of De Bruin Park
• Ermelo CBD and surrounding streets
• Civic Centre
• Cassim Park
• State Farm
• Portions of Old Wesselton
• Extensions 1–11
• Golf Course
• Ermelo Airport
• Northern Water Treatment Works
• Brummer Dam
Residents are reminded that all electrical points and installations should be treated as live during the outage.
