Best of Ermelo Readers’ Choice Awards voting opens soon
Residents will soon decide which businesses stand out as voting opens for the highly anticipated Best of Ermelo Readers’ Choice Awards.
The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated Best of Ermelo Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 voting.
Residents will be able to cast their votes online at highveldernews.co.za starting April 17.
Ahead of this, a special voter’s supplement will appear in the Highvelder print edition and online the same week, showcasing all businesses and individuals nominated by the community.
With over 800 nominations submitted (including multiple entries across different categories for some businesses), it’s clear that the Best of Ermelo Readers’ Choice Awards is the perfect way for readers to recognise and celebrate local businesses and individuals who make a difference in the community.
This supplement will reach 12 000 households across Ermelo, Wesselton, Davel, Lothair, Sheepmoor, Carolina, Morgenzon and Breyten, making it an ideal platform for businesses to gain visibility.
Advertising in the voters’ supplement is entirely optional – every nominated business will automatically be listed for free.
Businesses wishing to increase their visibility can choose tailored advertising packages, in print and online, but being featured does not require any payment or commitment.
The Best of Ermelo Awards provide a unique chance to celebrate excellence in the community.
For business owners, being recognised is more than an accolade – it reflects the strong relationships they have built with their customers.
Since nominations opened on December 15, readers have enthusiastically submitted hundreds of nominations, recognising local businesses and service providers for their dedication and quality.
All businesses within Ermelo were eligible, ensuring wide participation and inclusivity.
The final decision rests entirely with the public. Once voting opens, it will remain open until midnight on May 18, giving participants ample time to select their favourite establishments.
Whether a long-time resident or a visitor impressed by exceptional service, every vote matters. Importantly, voting is open to everyone, regardless of location.
Each vote represents the collective opinion of consumers, highlighting those who consistently provide outstanding service.
