BADPLAAS – Flash flooding hit Badplaas, A Forever Resort, early this morning, causing the temporary closure of pools, slides, hydro, and spa facilities.

Damage reported to pools and spa areas

According to the resort’s official Facebook page: “Due to flash flooding on 8 April 2026, the pools, slides, and Hydro are closed until further notice. Thank you.”

Damage has been reported to the pool and spa infrastructure, with water levels reaching the height of a two-storey building, according to a source whose son provided photos of the affected areas.

Previous flooding at Badplaas

The resort previously experienced flash flooding in December 2018, which caused similar damage to facilities.
