Ermelo mother launches fundraiser for daughter’s urgent surgery

A four-year-old Ermelo girl urgently needs surgery after severely enlarged tonsils began affecting her breathing and hearing.

ERMELO – Audrey Swart is appealing for help to raise R30 000 for surgery for her four-year-old daughter, Leané, whose severely enlarged tonsils are almost completely closing her throat.

Swart said the condition is affecting Leané’s breathing and has also started affecting her hearing.

Their medical aid has refused to pay for the surgery, leaving the family to raise the estimated R30 000 needed for the procedure and related medical expenses.
