Who deserves arrest? Ermelo Jail and Bail nominations are open

The handcuffs are coming out again as organisers prepare for another year of raising awareness about blood donation.

ERMELO – The annual SANBS Jail and Bail Blood Drive will take place on November 20, with residents once again invited to nominate people they would like to see ‘arrested’ for a good cause.

The light-hearted initiative aims to raise awareness of blood donation while encouraging the community to get involved in an event that combines fun with a lifesaving message.

Organisers are calling on residents to choose their ‘suspects’ and submit nominations ahead of the event.

The campaign gives the public an opportunity to nominate someone they would like to see behind bars, all in the spirit of supporting blood donation.

Under the slogan “Have fun. Make a difference. Save a life”, the annual initiative uses its playful arrest theme to draw attention to the importance of donating blood.

Residents are encouraged to join in by nominating friends, colleagues or other familiar faces they would like to see ‘arrested’ as part of the campaign.

Want to nominate someone for Jail and Bail?

Residents are encouraged to nominate people who have a strong support network of friends, family, colleagues or community members who would be willing to donate blood to secure their release.

The success of the initiative depends on nominees being able to attract enough willing donors to ‘bail’ them out, so residents are asked to keep this in mind when choosing their ‘suspects’.
