Ermelo Primary School learners make bold moves, reign supreme in chess tournament

The learners engaged in intense battles, showcasing their dedication and determination

Learners from Ermelo Primary School (EPS) showcased their exceptional chess skills as they participated in the Msukaligwa Individual Chess Tournament on May 20.

The tournament witnessed intense competition among the talented learners, and several of them achieved remarkable results.

The EPS team demonstrated their mastery with Everson Mavalwane clinching in first place, Jahdiel Mutatata finishing second, and Malibongwe Khambule and Junior Malahela both securing third place.

These talented individuals advanced to the next round, the Gert Sibande Individual Chess Tournament, that took place on May 27.

The Msukaligwa Individual Chess Tournament proved to be a memorable event as learners from EPS displayed their strategic thinking and tactical prowess on the chessboard.
