Creative energy flows at Breyten library Father’s Day workshop
Children filled the Breyten Library with colour and creativity while making Father’s Day cards and sharing special stories.
BREYTEN – The Breyten Library was a hive of activity as children from the local community gathered to craft Father’s Day cards on June 13.
The initiative, organised by the library, aimed to provide a creative outlet for youngsters to express their love and appreciation for their fathers.
Sindisiwe Khanyile, the librarian, expressed her gratitude towards every child who spent the afternoon with her.

“Hearing them expressing stories about their fathers was the cherry on top. It was nice learning about fathers who have an impact on their children’s lives,” she said.
Members of the Nal’ibali also joined the event.
Nal’ibali (isiXhosa for ‘Here’s the story’) is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign.
