Ermelo English Primary learner earns Reading Riot national recognition
Luthando Mafueka's impressive Reading Riot performance secured him second place in Mpumalanga and a top-20 national ranking.
Luthando Mafueka a learner of Ermelo English Primary School has earned provincial and national recognition after an outstanding performance in the Reading Riot competition.
Luthando finished second in Mpumalanga and was ranked 17th nationally in the literacy competition, which encourages learners to develop a passion for reading and comprehension.
He received a Reading Riot national finalist certificate of excellence during the national awards ceremony held in Tshwane on June 27.

The award recognises learners who represented their provinces with distinction and demonstrated exceptional reading ability.
The provincial results also placed Luthando second in Mpumalanga, highlighting him as one of the province’s top young readers.
