Ermelo athletes stood out at The Battle
The teams from Ermelo entered four divisions with three teenagers that competed individually in the teen’s division
Members of CrossFit IRA in Ermelo took part in The Battle competition that was held at the Silver Star Casino in Krugersdorp in August.
It is a three-day CrossFit event that provides athletes a platform to showcase their fitness and skills.
The teams from Ermelo entered into four divisions with three teenagers that competed individually in the teen division.
Jenna Scott won the teens’ U/15 girls division and Huntley Cooper came third in the boys’ U/15 division.
Team HRG went through to the finals in the beginner men’s RX division.
In the men’s RX division where almost 100 teams competed against one another, the Howling Commando’s Alpha team came fifth and the Howling Commando’s Bravo team came 31st.
“What a finish that was. They did indeed showcase their fitness and skills.”
With four elite athletes already preparing for the upcoming East Coast championship from 7 to 9 September, they are looking forward to great results once again.
