Local sides fail to register wins in the fourth round of the SAB Soccer League
Three of the local sides walked away with a point after drawing their matches, one lost and the other took three points after their match was cancelled due to their opponents showing up late.
The third round of the SAB Soccer League kicked off at various stadiums around the Gert Sibande District on Saturday, 29 September with local teams determined to win their matches after a disappointing second round.
However, it was not to be after four of the five local sides failed to register wins as they drew and lost.
Only Mpumalanga Eagles FC registered maximum points on the table after their game was called off after their opponents, Losta Stars FC, arrived late at the AJ Swanepoel Stadium.

Ermelo United FC shared the spoils with Passion FC, drawing 1-1.
Mafia FC drew one all against Shooters FC and the Sun City Gunners also managed a 1-1 draw against high flying Hammers FC.
VOC United FC will want to forget the past two weeks after they suffered another loss, this time at the hands of Blackstone FC. That match ended 2-1.
In other matches, Manzana FC put six goals past last season’s champions, Somhlolo FC, who are failing to pick up a win this season.
The most anticipated match of the weekend, the Breyten derby, lived up to expectations at the KwaZanele Stadium with Breyten United, who are on a winning run, defeated their rivals, the Breyten Home Sweepers, 2-0.
PR Barcelona rounded off the matches, beating Typhoon FC 1-0 at the Mooiflower Stadium.
It has been a dismal start for all five local teams with most of them languishing at the bottom half of the table.
The fourth round of matches will take place this coming weekend with VOC United kicking things off against Passion FC at the Mpumalanga Stadium at 3pm.
Ermelo United face a Manzana FC side coming off from a big win on Sunday.
Sun City Gunners will go head to head with Shooters FC while the Ermelo derby between Mafia FC and Mpumalanga Eagles FC will kick off at 3pm on Sunday.
