Get to grips with nuts and bolts of writing
SOUTH African Writers’ Circle will meet at the Westville Library (Room G4) on Saturday, 18 November at 11am.
Award-winning author and poet, Fiona Khan, is the guest speaker.
Her talk is entitled, Choosing your words and eating them.
This month’s Nuts and Bolts of Writing series is about Grammar and will be conducted by Patrick Coyne.
His talk is titled, Sensible writers brush up on their grammar. Patrick’s talk will address ‘The Right Brain – Left brain theory’ because it connects with the art and craft of writing.
He will also mention ‘Common errors in grammar’ and ‘Errors that are sometimes allowed’.
A grammar quiz is included and first, second and third prizes will be awarded.
The cost is R10 for members and R20 for visitors.
