Listen to the Anaximader’s story, told in the first person

UNITARIAN Fellowship will meet at the Frank Farrer Hall in Westville, at the bottom of Old New Germany Road (Palmiet Conservancy) on Sunday, 26 November at 10am.

Dr Irwin Friedman will speak on Anaximander of Miletus: Whence the Origin of Things? Anaximader’s story, told in the first person is fascinating.

Despite his antiquity, his ideas remain relevant.

Indeed, a concept he was originating 600 BCE reverberated so strongly with quantum physicists, that Max Born, commenting on Werner Heisenberg’s ideas proposed using the word “apeiron,” based on the concept that Anaximander had framed 2500 years before.

All are welcome and tea will be served afterwards.
