Retiring made easy at expo

The morning was filled with informative talks to help ease Highway residents into retirement.

DOZENS of Highway residents made their way to the St Agnes Church in Kloof for the informative The Hills Retirement Expo.

The purpose of the expo, said the CEO of The Hills Retirement Community, Craig Smith, was to create awareness for the vital role the organisation plays in regards to retirement matters.

The morning opened with a talk on cognitive ageing and dementia by Dr Stewart Lund which was followed by a tea break and a talk by Hilary Davis on care options and Living Wills by Margaret McCullough.

“As we age, to varying degrees we encounter challenges and choices – choices which we often studiously avoided thinking about let alone plan for. This is to introduce others to our dedicated and effective team and to provide residents with essential information and advice regarding retirement planning,” said Craig.
