Trail run tough but enjoyable

More than R50 000 was raised in the second Kloof Conservancy 3 Falls Trail Run.

THE second Kloof Conservancy 3 Falls Trail Run through the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve saw 224 of the 240 runners finish the gruelling 18km race.

The race is a joint venture by Kloof Conservancy, the Krantzkloof Honorary Officers and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

The trail took runners through grasslands, scarp forests, riverine forests and across numerous streams and waterfalls making it a tough but scenic route.

An amount of R52 800 was raised which will be used to improve the entrances to the reserve.

Johan Vermeulen from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife handed out the unique trophies, made by the Hillcrest AIDS centre Trust, to the winners. All runners who completed the race also received a unique medal made by HACT.
