STAFF at Westville Boys’ High School was honoured to welcome John and Phyllis Moolman to the school, together with their sons, Craig and Ryan, who matriculated from Westville Boys’ High School in 1979 and 1990 respectively.
What is most noteworthy is that John and Phyllis currently have five of their seven grandsons, Dylan D’emmererz De Charmoy (Grade 12), Ethan De Charmoy (Grade 10), Brent De Charmoy (Grade 9), Bryce Moolman (Grade 10), and Reece Moolman (Grade 8) at Westville Boys’ High School – a record for the school.
Westville Boys’ High School has its origins as a community school. Despite the significant changes that have occurred in the 60 years of its existence as a high school, WBHS still retains the community ethos as evidenced by the considerable roles played by parents and old boys in support of the school and its traditions as evidenced by the Moolman and De Charmoy families.
