Pony riders challenged at championship

PONIES and riders were put to the test at the Durban Shongweni Club’s KZN Pony Rider Championship show sponsored by Harcourts Real Estate.

The two-day show gave the child riders and their ponies a chance to compete for some fabulous prizes. Despite the bad weather, the show was a huge success.

Harcourts Foundation raised money for the Coastal Horse Care Unit via raffle tickets for a fabulous hamper sponsored by Natal Saddlery. The raffle raised R2190 and the Harcourts Foundation donated the balance to make up a total donation of R5000. Mike O’ Sullivan was the lucky winner of the hamper.

The money and second hand riding gear donated by the riders will be handed over to the Coastal Horse Care to assist their Rural Outreach Programme.
