Asil is WBHS’s pride and joy

The matriculant performed exceptionally well to land the top spot in the country.

WESTVILLE  Boys’ High School (WBHS) has much to celebrate with the release of the 2013 matric results on Tuesday. The Westville school has produced the top matric pupil in the country with the school’s 2013 Dux, Asil Motala,  placed first in South Africa. The national rankings are done per ‘quintile’, and WBHS is placed in Quintile 5 which covers the most affluent schools. Motala’s  marks ranged from 94% to 99% with an average mark of 98%. This places him as the top candidate in the country as his marks are higher than those of the top ranked pupils in other quintiles.  Motala has enjoyed some well-deserved praise for his outstanding achievements as he was honoured at an  event held for the release of National Senior Certificate L4 results at the ICC on Tuesday.
